In May, 2013 this project was succesfully funded through a Kickstarter campaign.  We were overwhelmed by the interest and support we received from our backers, gaining over 1,700 backers.  Mid project, we took the valuable feedback we received from backers and completely overhauled the design of the BrickPi, adding features and improving battery life.
