Overview

As the industry leaders in connected play, we consider your privacy to be of the utmost importance. Below is an overview of the steps we take to protect your privacy. We encourage you to review our full Privacy Policy and know that you’re in good hands.

1. We take steps to limit the information that is collected from children who use our connected toys and provide parents with controls over that information.

2. Some of the more important information we do collect:

  • Email addresses: In some limited cases, we collect email addresses to identify your account for support purposes, as well as to send marketing emails for new products, deals, awesome content and more. Should you feel the need to unsubscribe from our emails (although we’re not sure why you would), simply click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any Dexter Industries email and tell us “it’s not you, it’s me” to soften the blow.

  • First name: This will allow some of our creations to greet you by name. We like to get personal, just not too personal.

  • Age: For some products, we age-tag our subject matter so we can deliver appropriate content for your age.

  • Gender: This helps us use the right pronoun. For example, we would be able to describe someone as “he” or “she”.

  • Activity history: This is a record of your progress, like a ‘saved game’ in video game terms.

3. Audio data collected for speech recognition is processed on your device in real-time and the raw audio files are not sent to our servers.

4. We design certain areas of our site to ensure that information sent to our servers is encrypted in transmission. This is a fancy way of saying we take steps to encode your information in a way that only you, secure third-party processors, and our servers can read.

5. Our apps and servers are regularly updated to incorporate new and improved security practices. Find or suspect a vulnerability in our system? Let us know at support (at) dexterindustries.com.

6. While our products are hackable and we encourage people to learn, experiment, and build on our platforms, we do put security measures in place to prevent our robots from being used in nefarious ways.

Questions? Comments? Concerns? We’re here to help. Contact support (at) dexterindustries.com and we’ll set your mind at ease.
